LoftDeck™ ("LoftDeck," "we," "us," or "our") is an app for running a job search. This page says what we collect, why we keep it, who we work with, and what you can switch off. Using LoftDeck™ means you accept it.
We don't sell your personal data, and we don't share it for advertising.
We use it to run the app. That means saving your work, signing you in, powering the optional tools you choose to use, and meeting our legal and security obligations. Nothing else.
Two ways. We email you a sign-in link, or you sign in with Google. Either way, no password is stored or sent.
Google sign-in tells us your name and email address. That's all it does. It doesn't give us any access to your Gmail. That's a separate choice, and it's next.
You can connect your Google account so LoftDeck™ sends outreach from your own address. If you do, we ask Google for two things: permission to send mail, and your email address so we know which account is connected. We cannot read your inbox, your drafts or your contacts.
Google gives us a token that lets us send on your behalf. We store it on our server, never in your browser, and only our server can read it. You can disconnect any time in Profile → Email, and you can remove it yourself in your Google account settings.
LoftDeck™'s use of information from Google APIs follows Google's Limited Use requirements. We only use it to send the messages you ask us to send. We never sell it, never use it for advertising, and never use it to train an AI.
We only ever send the message you wrote, when you press send. We never email your contacts on our own.
You can switch on a calendar feed that drops your follow-ups and contact reminders into Google, Apple, or Outlook. It works through a private link with a long random code in it.
That link is the key. Anyone holding it can see those calendar items without signing in, so don't post it or forward it. If you think someone else has it, make a new link in Profile → Calendar. The old one stops working right away.
You can turn off the welcome series and the digest. Sign-in and account emails keep coming, because the app can't work without them.
We keep a short usage log so we can tell whether the app is working. It records which tool you used and when. That's it, a name and a time.
It never records what you wrote, who you wrote to, or which job it was for. Deleting your account deletes the log with everything else.
A small number of outside companies help run LoftDeck™. We share only what each one needs to do its job:
Each one has its own privacy practices, and we share only what the feature needs.
Some optional features send text you provide, like a resume or a job description, to the AI provider you picked so it can write or review the result. If you haven't picked a provider, those features are off and nothing is sent. Don't paste anything you wouldn't want an AI service to process. Using these tools is entirely your call.
We keep your data while your account is open. After that, the schedule above applies: 30 days if you paused, immediately if you deleted.
Our hosting provider keeps short-term backups for recovery, so copies can linger a little while before they roll off.
We sign you in with email links or Google, so no password is stored or sent. Your Gmail token sits on our server where only the server can read it. We use commercially reasonable safeguards to protect your information. No system is completely secure, so use judgment about what you store here.
If your data is ever exposed, we'll email the members affected without unnecessary delay and tell you what happened.
LoftDeck™ is run from the United States, and your data is stored on servers in the United States. Cloudflare carries requests across its global network to reach us. If you use LoftDeck™ from outside the United States, your data comes here.
LoftDeck™ is meant for adults 18 and older.
We may update this page from time to time. If we do, we'll change the date at the top. Keeping on using the app after an update means you accept the new version.
